Doorway boasts an extremely high adoption rate compared to many software providers. This adoption rate, sitting around 80% for our enterprise clients, is thanks to a carefully designed two-touch-point architecture.

What is two-touchpoint architecture?

Two-touchpoint architecture, sometimes referred to as a 2-touch model, is a system where the user interacts with the service or product in two distinct ways to complete an action or goal. Typically, these interactions might span multiple platforms, interfaces or physical locations depending on the service and architecture.

How does Doorway’s two-touchpoint architecture work?

Doorway’s architecture is structured to make adoption of Doorways as easy and seamless as possible, even for truly global enterprise businesses.

When Doorways are created, your employees are sent an automated email. Following receipt of this email, employees only need to click on the link, choose their device type and then save their Doorway directly into their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. In addition, Doorway does not require any employees to download or install an application, removing a huge amount of adoption friction up front.

One of the key failures in adoption rate that we considered first, is that people don’t like change. We decided that the method Doorway could use to reduce this impact on employees, was to make Doorway fit into their existing processes to as great a degree as possible. Given digital wallet adoption has sky-rocketed in the past 5 years, this was an obvious opportunity.
